汽车制造工业大量生产的特点给机床制造工业的发展方向提出了要求;而机床制造工业在实践中已经提供了高度自动化机床,并进一步发展成连接机器和自动线。连接机器是把几台机床直接连接起来,在加工过程中,工件运输和装卸工作都实现自动化。自动线就是将加工工件的多道工序在一整套设备内加工完成。下文介绍目前加工汽车主要零件所采用的几种自动化机床、连接机器和自动线。自动化单机机器连接的前提是每一机器本身操作循环自动化。图1是作为单一用途制造的、全部自动加工曲轴的VA4型专用机床。此机床用来车削曲轴靠近平衡重部位的外径并倒稜;图2为加工原理示意图。如用
