铁道部与中国土木学会于1959年12月10～23日在西安召开了这个会议。参加会议的有铁路系统的各设计院、铁路局、研究单位及铁道学院,交通部、水电部、地质部、各地质学院等有关单位的代表近三百人。会议由铁道部汪菊潜副部长主持。在会议上交流了在与路基病害斗争中勘测选线、设计施工、养护维修三方面的经验,对今后关于防治路基病害和养护以及进行关于这方面的科研
The Ministry of Railways and China Civil Engineering Society held this meeting in Xi’an from December 10 to December 1959. Nearly 300 delegates from various design institutes, railway bureaus, research institutes and railway institutes, Ministry of Communications, Ministry of Water Resources and Electricity, Ministry of Geology, geology colleges and other relevant units attended the conference. The meeting was chaired by Vice Minister Wang Juqian of the Ministry of Railways. During the meeting, he exchanged experiences on three aspects of investigation and route selection, design and construction, maintenance and repair in the struggle against roadbed diseases, and discussed the future prevention and control of roadbed diseases and conservation and scientific research in this field
