摩羯是印度神话传说中的一种动物,其形象传入中国后,不仅见于石窟寺壁画及佛教造像,也成为一种重要的装饰题材或者器物造型的模仿对象。又因摩羯纹饰及其造型事关古代中印文化交流,而为学界所关注,已产生为数不少的研究成果。本文在前人研究成果的基础上,首先对古印度的摩羯形象进行了分类介绍,为进一步深入探讨中国古代摩羯形象的特点及演变规律,提供了可资比较的资料;其次,就与摩羯纹饰及造型相关的十二个小问题进行了探讨,提出了一些不甚成熟的看法,有的论述较详,有的则属札记性质,以便留作日后继续深入思考;最后,就中外文化交流中的一些规律性问题进行了初步的探讨。
Capricorn is a kind of animal in Indian myths and legends. When its image is introduced into China, Capricorn is not only seen in murals of cave temples and statues of Buddhism but also as an important imitation object of decorative themes or objects. Because of Capricorn pattern and its shape related to the ancient Sino-Indian cultural exchange, and for the academic community has been concerned, has produced a large number of research results. Based on the research results of the predecessors, this paper first introduces the Capricorn image of ancient India, and provides a comparative study of the features and evolution of Capricorn image in ancient China. Secondly, And styling related to the 12 small issues were discussed, put forward some less mature views, some of the more detailed discussion, while others are the nature of the notes in order to stay for further thinking in the future; Finally, on the Sino-foreign cultural exchanges Some of the regular issues were discussed.
