After 238 PuO 2 particles are inhaled, the amount of 238 Pu transferred into the blood is affected by the formation of particles with a diameter of about 1 nm in the lung. Some authors believe these particles are due to radiolysis fragmentation. Aerosol inhalation of DTPA or its lipophilic derivative, Puchel, has been shown to be effective in eliminating the metastable 238 Pu formed in the process and most of the 238 Pu retained in alveolar macrophages. This article reports the effect of delayed inhalation of ~ (238) PuO_2 aerosol on the removal of ~ (238) Pu after inhalation of the polydisperse phase. The author introduces the material preparation and experimental methods. Two experiments with male voles. In the first experiment, animals inhaled 238 PuO 2 aerosols (AMAD
