The levels of serum soluble interleukin 2 receptor (SIL-2R) and peripheral blood T lymphocyte subsets in 30 patients with chronic renal failure (CRF) were measured. The results showed that the levels of SIL-2R in CRF patients were significantly higher than those in normal controls (P <0 (P <0.01). The level of SIL-2R was negatively correlated with CD3 and CD4, and positively correlated with CD8. The expression of SIL-2R was positively correlated with BUN and SCr Correlation, CD3, CD4 and BUN, SCr was negatively correlated, CD8 and BUN, SCr was positively correlated. It is suggested that the cellular immune function is low in patients with CRF; the level of SIL-2R is related to the change of T lymphocyte subsets; the change of SIL-2R level and T lymphocyte subsets may be used as indicators of renal dysfunction.
