对全球依赖淡水的生态系统所需水量作了初步评估。对全球主要流域的环境水需求也作了评估,维持流域生态系统的流量约占年平均流量的20%～50%。超过14亿人口生活在环境水需求紧张的流域。环境水需求的评估应该与全球水资源评估和全球粮食生产估计相结合。
A preliminary assessment of the amount of water required by ecosystems in the world that depend on freshwater has been made. The demand for environmental water in major river basins in the world has also been assessed, and the flow of the basin ecosystem is maintained at about 20% -50% of the annual average flow rate. More than 1.4 billion people live in watersheds where environmental water demand is tight. The assessment of environmental water needs should be combined with the Global Water Assessment and Global Food Production estimates.
