国家教委颁布的《新课程标准》要求:英语教学要实现认知、情感和技能三大领域的教学目标,特别注重在传授知识与进行思想教育的同时,培养学生的自主学习能力。“学会学习,掌握一定的学习策略,培养终身学习的能力,已成为一个人生存与发展的必备条件。”而学生只有在他们乐于参与的活动中,才自始至终是自觉主动的语言实践者,而不是被动地追随教师。自主学习,是指学生充分发挥个体主观能动性而进行的创新性学习。即学习过程呈现自主、主动、创新相互依存的三个层次。“自主学习”是就学习的内在品质而言的,相对的是“被动学习”“机械学习”
The “New Curriculum Standards” promulgated by the State Education Commission requires that English teaching should achieve the teaching goals of three major areas of cognition, emotion and skills, with a particular emphasis on imparting knowledge and conducting ideological education while cultivating students’ autonomous learning ability. “Learning to learn, mastering certain learning strategies, and cultivating lifelong learning has become a prerequisite for the survival and development of a person.” Students are consciously and proactively practicing language only from the moment they are willing to participate Rather than passively follow the teacher. Autonomous learning refers to the innovative learning that students give full play to individual subjective initiative.
