Adic is Nigeria’s highly anticipated new generation of female writers. His novel “Purple Hibiscus” presents a grand theme from a micro perspective through family narration, with a keen perspective and slender style unique to female writers, showing the political and cultural predicament Niger faces in the post-colonial era. Through Eugene’s splittist tragedy, his works reflect the abnormal cultural status of Africa in the process of modernization, the imbalance of Western value invasion and traditional cultural values, and demonstrate the writer’s recognition and affirmation of African traditional culture. At the same time, Through the different situations of several women, this paper discusses the reconstruction of national culture.
