交易所交易基金(简称ETF，或ETFs)是国外资本市场10多年来最成功的金融创新之一，但我国目前尚未正式推出。国外基金业的创新潮流和ETF市场的迅猛发展使我国发展ETF产品显得尤为紧迫。目前，证监会已经正式批准了上海证券交易所的ETF方案，后期的操作细节正在论证中。10多年来ETF在国外有着怎样的发展，目前在我国推出，又面临着哪些局限，这都是本文要讨论的问题。
Exchange-traded funds (referred to as ETFs or ETFs) are one of the most successful financial innovations in foreign capital markets in more than a decade. However, China has not yet officially launched it. The trend of innovation in foreign fund industry and the rapid development of ETF market make it very urgent for China to develop ETF products. Currently, the SFC has formally approved the ETF program of the Shanghai Stock Exchange, the details of the operation is being demonstrated. What kind of development ETFs have in foreign countries over the past 10 years is currently being launched in China and what are the limitations? This is the issue to be discussed in this article.
