日本电报电话公司于1984年11月30日在首都东京及东京—大阪—神户地区正式开办交互型电视数据业务(CAPTAIN)。这种业务在西欧一些国家称为Videotex,NTT在传真通信网、数据通信网业务的基础上又开放了这一新的非电话业务,用户不仅可以通过电话线路利用电视机从信息中心检索信息,而且可利用图象信息传输实现预定座席,银行存取等多种计算机处理业务,这意味着一种新的交换方式时代的开始。 双向电视数据系统由电话网,收费处理,用户信息处理,和进行中介转换的双向电视数据处理中心,以及存储图象信息的信息中心组成。NTT提供信息中心设备,各信息提供者用自己的计算机向中心提供信息。本系统的数据处理中心和信息中心均设于东京赤坂局。
The Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation officially opened its interactive television data service (CAPTAIN) on November 30, 1984, in the capital Tokyo and the Tokyo-Osaka-Kobe area. This kind of business is called Videotex in some countries of Western Europe. NTT opens up this new non-telephone service based on facsimile communication network and data communication network service. Users can not only use television to retrieve information from information center via telephone line, But also the use of image information transmission to achieve a predetermined seat, bank access and other computer processing business, which means that the beginning of a new era of exchange mode. The two-way television data system consists of a telephone network, charging processing, user information processing, and bidirectional television data processing center for mediation conversion, and an information center for storing image information.
