In clinical work, often encounter some “temporary cerebral ischemia” patients. Most of these patients are middle-aged and elderly people, some of whom have had multiple episodes. Their attacks are mostly related to sudden head and neck rotation. Why temporary brain ischemia occurs when turning the head and neck? To find out why, you need to understand the brain blood supply. When people reach middle age, arterial blood vessels will gradually age, elasticity decreases, and the blood vessel’s inner membrane becomes rough. However, brain tissue nerve cells are very sensitive to hypoxia. The brain’s oxygen is delivered by the blood. When the amount of brain blood supply is reduced to 40%, there is an obstacle to cerebral blood circulation.
