Archimedes was born in a small village near ancient Greek Syracuse. Archimedes’s father was an astronomer and mathematician. He was knowledgeable and humble. Archimedes was influenced by his family and he had been studying mathematics since childhood. In particular, ancient Greek geometry and astronomy had a keen interest. Archimedes left his parents when he was 11 years old to come to Alexandria to study. Alexandria at that time was a world-famous center for trade and cultural exchange. The library in the city has an unusually rich collection of books. This is deeply attracted to the hungry Archimedes. At that time, some books were bound with a piece of sheepskin, and some were sliced with sedges of stems. It became a big sheet and was rolled on a wooden stick. Since the printing was not invented at that time, the words on the book were handwritten and precious. Archimedes tried to use the theorem and formula of the book one by one. Remember to keep in mind that you often forget to eat.
