V 2 O 5 supported on TiO 2 is an active and selective catalyst for the oxidation of hydrocarbons. Many authors have studied the physico-chemical properties and catalytic properties of V 2 O 5 and found that V 2 O 5 can disperse on the surface of TiO 2. The Peking University Institute of Physical Chemistry using X-ray phase quantitative methods such as the spontaneous tendency of some active components of the catalyst dispersed in the surface of the carrier, for the larger surface carrier, the disappearance or reduction of the active ingredient crystal phase is very obvious. X-ray phase quantitation usually requires a pure phase standard, mixed with an internal standard or reference to measure the X-ray reference intensity.
