气功后发现可明显影响血浆cAMP的水平(P<0.05),在站立后受试与安静时受试的比较分析中,亦发现二者均大于休息对照组(P<0.05),并且发现气功的影响比站立的影响还大。气功影响血浆cAMP的水平在实验观察中发现有个体差异,故气功可能是一种根据各人具体情况而不同的自我调整作用。在血浆皮质醇的测定中发现气功组与休息组目前虽无显著差异,但气功对肾上腺皮质的功能似乎有调整趋向稳定的功能。故上述结果提示气功的机理可能与激素的第二信使-cAMP及皮质醇的自我调整作用有关。

Therefore, the above results suggest that the mechanism of Qigong may be related to the self-regulating effect of cAMP and cortisol, the second messenger of hormones.
