“东农冬麦1号”是东北农业大学小麦育种专家佟明耀教授和郑家兰教授夫妻二人退休后从1 994年开始,在不能立题的情况下,经过14年的艰苦努力而育成;并通过黑龙江省农作物品种审定委员会的审定,从2007年开始在黑龙江省东北部(北纬45°～47°)正式推广。这样“东农冬麦1号”成为有史以来第一个能在黑龙江省高寒地区安全越冬的冬小麦品种,填补了黑龙江省不能种植冬小麦的空白。
