以72名高中一年级学生为受试,采用2(词素语境)×3(句子语境)两因素被试内实验设计,探讨了中国英语学习者在英语陌生复合词理解中的词素语境效应和句子语境效应。结果表明,英语陌生复合词理解中存在着词素语境效应和句子语境效应,语义透明度高的词素语境、解释性语境和推理性语境促进英语陌生复合词的理解与学习。词素语境和句子语境存在着交互作用,语义透明度高的词素语境条件下,句子语境对英语陌生复合词的理解不起作用,英语学习者主要依靠词素信息理解陌生复合词的意义;语义透明度低的词素语境条件下,句子语境效应十分明显,句子语境促进陌生复合词的理解,其中解释性语境比推理性语境的促进作用更大。词素语境和句子语境在英语学习者陌生复合词认知加工中处于同一阶段。本研究结果支持心理词典的混合存储观。
With 72 first-year senior high school students as test subjects, two-factor (2) (morphological context) × 3 (sentence context) two-factor experiments were designed to explore the morpheme context effects of Chinese English learners in comprehending unfamiliar compound words in English. And sentence context effects. The results show that there are lexical context effects and sentence context effects in English unfamiliar compound words comprehension. Morphological contexts with high semantic transparency, explanatory contexts, and reasoning contexts promote the understanding and learning of unfamiliar compound words in English. There are interactions between the morpheme context and the sentence context. Under the morpheme context with high semantic transparency, the sentence context has no effect on the comprehension of unfamiliar compound words. English learners mainly rely on morpheme information to understand the meaning of strange compound words; semantic transparency Under the condition of low morpheme context, the effect of sentence context is very obvious. Sentence context promotes the comprehension of unfamiliar compound words, of which the explanatory context is greater than the reasoning context. The context of morphemes and the context of sentences are at the same stage in the cognitive processing of unfamiliar compound words of English learners. The results of this study support the concept of hybrid storage of mental dictionaries.
