2002年4月20日下午,中共中央政治局委员、国务院副总理吴邦国在湖南省委书记杨正午、省长张云川的陪同下视察了巴陵石油化工有限责任公司云溪社区管理中心安居园;2002年8月28日上午,日本滋贺县联合会访华团,在湖南省总工会副主席吴天保、岳阳市工会主席任文宝的陪同下,抵达巴陵石化公司云溪区参观访问,参观了云溪社区安居园小区幼儿园及安居园小区职工消费台作社、“心连心”超市,对安居园小区的房屋设计、结构、布居给予了高度评价。2002年10月15日,笔者采访了巴陵石油化工有限责任公司
