处于文化中空的华裔面临着身份危机,回归中国文化,还是走向居住国文化,抑或是走向多元文化,是华裔作品中永恒的主题。在加拿大华裔女作家拉丽莎·赖的长篇小说《咸鱼女孩》中,中国神话中的女娲与西方童话中的鱼美人融为一体,开始了跨时空的流散之旅。作品中丰富的互文想象和奇特的再生叙述制造出超现实的神话乌托邦,体现了作者在努力超越二元对立的政治思路,试图超越华裔身份,在诗意的空间里为更广泛的边缘族群建构身份。
Chinese in the cultural hollow face the identity crisis, return to Chinese culture, or to the culture of living country, or to a pluralistic culture, Chinese works is the eternal theme. In Canadian Salisbury Girl’s novel Salty Fish Girl, the Chinese fairy tale Nuwa and the fish beauty in the western fairytale melted into one, starting a journey of interdisciplinarity across time and space. The rich intertextual imagination and strange reproduction of narrative create the surreal myth Utopia, which embodies the author’s efforts to go beyond the dualistic political thinking, trying to transcend the Chinese identity and building a broader marginalized group in the poetic space Identity.
