At present, the contradiction between the world’s population and food has become increasingly prominent. According to the statistics of the United States “Science” magazine, at present, 500 million people around the world suffer from malnutrition due to lack of food. To alleviate this contradiction, scientists have turned their attention to artificial foods, and oil foods—the extraction of protein from oil—are considered to be the most viable technologies. So, how does oil become a food? As we all know, there are many microorganisms in nature. Scientists have discovered that some microbes eat “eating” oil. These microbes use “n-alkanes” and methane as food to “produce” proteins. Scientists screen, incubate, breed, and inoculate these microbes. The paraffin liquid paraffin and provide the necessary conditions for its growth and reproduction, such as oxygen, water, temperature and pH. In this way, after the microorganisms digested and decomposed petroleum, they produced numerous offspring, and when they grew, they used advanced technologies.
