Age is an established and independent risk factor for adult diabetes mellitus (NIDDM), and the prevalence increases with age. According to the World Health Organization, diabetes in developed countries mostly occurs in the elderly above the retirement age. The risk of diabetes in people over the age of 65 is 10 times that of people in 20-40 years old. In 2007, one-third of Europe’s population will be over 50 years of age, and those aged 60-79 will be high-risk individuals with diabetes. Older people are often financially strapped (80% of the elderly in developing countries have no fixed income) and need medical and health care. More notably, the limited access to activities, lack of information and long distances make the elderly people unable to access the appropriate diabetes health care services. Therefore, the popularization of diabetes knowledge is particularly important for the elderly. This album introduces the latest progress in the study of Japanese elderly diabetes, rich in content, novel, high reference value, the full text of the election translated from “Japan Pro” 2006 64 No. 1 “high sugar diabetes” album, Article 16, all by Shijingshan Hospital, Beijing Zhuang Xiangyun professor review.
