Case Background Since the implementation of the new curriculum standard in the high school history curriculum, exploring and improving the objectives of the senior high school history curriculum has been a core issue. In 2003, the “General History Curriculum Standard for Senior High Schools” set the ordinary high school history curriculum as “a basic discipline for cultivating and enhancing students’ historical awareness, cultural qualities and humanistic accomplishments, and promoting the all-round development of students”. However, the various practical problems in the practice of history teaching reflect the confusion of history education in middle school in understanding and practicing the goal of this course. In response to this phenomenon, Wu Wei, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences researcher had
