Before the Tang Dynasty, due to the underdevelopment of the maritime trade, the foreign trade and exchange mainly came from the land. There was no special navigational management institution set up by the Central Dynasties in the past dynasties. All the maritime trade affairs were handed over to the chiefs of the Zhuzhou-based coastal counties. In the Tang Dynasty, with the remarkable development of maritime trade, the city was first set up to be responsible for the management of maritime trade. In the middle and late Tang Dynasty, municipal chiefs were mostly appointed by local officials in Lingnan. Due to long-term local officials’ handling of overseas trade matters, official corruption and corruption often have a significant impact on the growth of trade. This article intends to make an analysis of the impact of corruption in the South China Sea on maritime trade. There are irregularities, please correct me square.
