In the ranks of western modernist writers, the British stream of consciousness novelistWolf (1882-1941) enjoys a prominent position. In her exploration of the human spiritual world of the 20th century, she made great efforts both in theory and in practice in the field of applying and perfecting the skills of stream of consciousness, and achieved remarkable success. Her creative journey shows that all the major achievements she has made are closely linked to her bold innovation and her insistence on the spirit of experimentation. As a novelist and novel theorist, Wolf is indeed a tireless explorer and innovator, showing a vibrant literary power. In her view, “no experiment, any experiment, or even the most intriguing experiment should not be banned.” As the status quo can not create genius and tirelessly pursue innovation, there is hope for success. That’s exactly what Wolf did . She has written 9 novels and several short stories and over 350 papers in her life. Almost every article in her work has something new because she is never content to repeat himself. Each of her novels is different from the previous one, and she constantly innovates and experiments in terms of style, theme, form and time.
