Electronic accelerator has been widely used in food preservation, medical supplies sterilization, waste treatment, material modification and other fields. Compared with the electron beam, X-ray has strong penetrating power, suitable for high irradiation density, thickness or volume of larger products. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has upgraded the radiation-induced electron beam energy from 5 MeV to 7.5 MeV. This work designed a 7.5 MeV electron beam X-ray conversion target.
