The human genome sequence and analysis provide a “map” for better understanding of human diversity. Variation in the population over 1% is called polymorphism. Single nucleotide substitutions (SNPs) are the most common types of polymorphisms. SNPs can occur in the coding region of genes (called cSNP) or in non-coding regions. Due to the nature of the genetic code, certain nucleotide substitutions are not
