科学教材是依据科学课程标准编制的知识载体。教材内容对某一地区来说,具有一定的局限性。因此,根据当地实际和学生特点,合理挖掘教学素材是丰富课堂教学内容的必要手段。教学实践证明,教学素材可以从社会热点中、从身边熟悉实例中、从学生自身中、从课外延伸中及从教材深广度等五个方面进行挖掘,以突出科学教学凸显时效性、强化实用性、突出体验性、体现扩展性、力显思维性等学科特点。
