20世纪90年代末以来,大量的国外翻译理论和研究方法被引入我国,开阔了我国翻译界的视野。但同时,我国译者的素质培养却有淡化的趋势。因此在新世纪,如何培养译者的素质是翻译教学中必须要重新考虑和加以重视的问题。作为翻译的主体,译者素质的高低决定了实践翻译中译语或译文质量的优劣,关系到翻译事业的健康发展。译者素质的培养应从三个方面着手,即双语基本功的巩固与提高,文化背景知识的扩展以及翻译理论的加深,而且前两个方面尤为重要。
Since the late 1990s, a large number of foreign translation theories and research methods have been introduced into our country, broadening the horizons of our translation community. However, at the same time, there is a downward trend in the quality training of translators in China. Therefore, in the new century, how to cultivate the quality of translators is a problem that must be reconsidered and valued in translation teaching. As the main body of translation, the quality of translators determines the quality of translation or translation in practical translation, which is related to the healthy development of translation. The cultivation of translators’ quality should proceed from three aspects: the consolidation and improvement of bilingual basic skills, the expansion of cultural background knowledge and the deepening of translation theories. The first two aspects are especially important.
