新一代的通信、数据通信及网络设备需要高可靠的电源,而且还要求电源比以前的电源具有更低的输出电压和更大的输出电流。这些电源要经受得住工作时产生的热量,若电源过热而失败将引起系统的破坏。 通信设备对过热引起的失败是敏感的,由过热引起的失败在今天任务苛刻的通信网络中是特殊的问题。作为系统制造商们,在过热问题上对电源转包合同者提出了越来越多的严格要求,以保证他们的设备有可靠的性能。 设计者面对当今电子设备提出的越来越低的电压及越来越大的电流这种真实挑战,需要电源有更好的可靠性及更小的体积,没有损失地安全运行或者价值效果更好。工业专家们在标准电源设计上的限制是慢于通信工业技术的发展的。
A new generation of communications, data communications and networking equipment requires a highly reliable power supply, but also requires the power supply has a lower output voltage and greater output current than the previous power supply.
