在车床上加工零件,一般都要求车刀刀尖与车床主轴中心等高。目前,在普通车床上使用的各种车刀,其刀尖高度都是固定的,不能调节高低,如需调整车刀刀尖高度,以满足使用要求,一般都是在车刀刀体下面加垫若干不同厚度的铁皮来实现。由于很难给每把车刀配备所需厚度的铁皮(因为这样需要很多铁皮),所以在每次装夹车刀时,都要临时增减铁皮来调整刀尖高度;特别是在某些零件加工精度要求较高,需要精确调整刀尖高度时,需要多次试装夹来校对刀尖高度,才能达到要求。这不仅需要花费较多的辅助工作时间,对刀精度也不易保证,在一定程度上影响了劳动生产率,同时,也易引起操作者烦燥的情绪。
