我省有丰富的锆英石资源。锆英石精矿可直接做高级耐火材料和铸造型砂的优质涂料,用它提炼的金属锆及其化合物在国防工业和其它工业上都有重要的用途。锆英石精矿中含有天然放射性物质,其放射性强度约为1—2×10~(-6)居里/公斤,按我国《放射防护规定》第38条的精神,锆英石精矿属放射性物品。为了解此矿石在运输条件下的照射量,提出有关放射卫生防护要求,我们与有关单位一起对我省主要几个锆英石生产厂矿进行了锆英石精矿γ射线照射率的测定。

In order to understand the irradiation amount of this ore under the transportation conditions, put forward the requirements on radiation protection and protection, and together with the relevant units, we conducted the γ ray irradiation rate determination of zircon ore concentrate at several major factories in our province.
