PC-1500计算机因其容量小,数据存储能力不大,致使推广应用困难,使用率低。在建立计算机数据库的过程中,为了扩大其容量及节约建库所需的大量磁带,笔者研究出了扩容最大限度的办法及其相应的数据处理方式。这就是采用256进制,按照数据的客观情况事先压缩处理数据,计算机因此扩容4～8倍。只用原来1/4、甚至1/7的磁带就可存录同样规模的数据资料。
