2006年2月,国际劳工组织(ILO)以314票对0票通过了国际海事劳工公约(简称MLC)。新公约将全面关照海员在工作环境上的实际需要,维护劳工权益,有助于改善全球超过120万名海员的福利和待遇,建立统一的、可接受的工作制度,为全球经济贸易一体化做出贡献。公约能否被快速广泛地执行?公约今后的生效和实施将对海事界及相关行业产生什么影响?对我国航运业产生什么影响?如何与其他相关国际公约相协调?尽管有诸多不确定性,该公约的历史意义仍毋庸置疑。
In February 2006, the International Labor Organization (ILO) adopted the International Maritime Labor Convention (MLC) by 314 votes to 0.
