配料是灵活的,也是有規律可以计算的。配料首先注重矿石的化学分析。分析元素的总和必須达到90%才能作配料計算。对铜矿石的分析只分析銅,不分析其他元素,要作配料計算是不可能的。化学分析当中需包括下面七种元素的分析:銅、硫、氧化鈣氧化鎂、二氧化硅、二氧化鋁氧化鉄等。作配料計算之前,必須根据矿石分析选擇接近而适当的渣型,这样才能減少溶剂用量、燃料消耗及铜在渣中的損失。还原熔煉中,渣的变化范圍如下:
