新庄矿井位于豫东永夏煤田东缘,东面与安徽刘桥煤矿相邻,西面与葛店小井相邻。属秦岭纬向构造之东延部分,与新华夏系反接复合形成轴向约北东15°的横跨褶皱。整个地层隐伏于约150米厚的新生界冲积层之下,开采二迭系山西组的二_2、三_2与三_5煤层。矿井有新生界冲积层孔隙含水层、二迭系砂岩裂隙含水层、石炭系灰岩裂隙溶洞含水层与奥陶系灰岩裂隙,溶洞含水层(见图1、2、3、4)。主副立井须穿过新生
