Chen Chali, who boarded the U.S. screen in the 1920s, marked the beginning of a change in the image of a negative Chinese under the shadow of “Yellow Peril” since the late 19th century. He is the most representative Chinese figure in American movies of the 20th century and the bottom of history of the Chinese in the minds of Americans. This image, as a result of cultural identity, inevitably brings about ethnic prejudices and ethnic discrimination resulting from cultural differences.
