广西东南地区与广东省山水相连,田地相间,有悠久的经济交流渊源。当前,面临着已经先走一大步的广东进一步全面改革和海南岛实行比特区更要特殊的政策的形势,作为广西经济较发达的地区桂东南,应该如何抓住这个机遇,充分利用广东省和海南岛的辐射能量,加快经济建设步伐,使之成为广西的珠江三角洲,带动整个广西经济的迅速发展,这实在是一个举足轻重,事关广西经济全局的重大战略问题。
