近年来,在泡桐优树无性系鉴定工作中,常用采根育苗繁殖鉴定。但是,大树根深,不易挖取,而且组织老化,再生能力差,发芽率极低,给泡桐优树无性系鉴定工作带来不少困难。如1979年春季,从一株10年生兰考桐优树上挖根27条,经沙藏催芽育苗,只有4根发芽,当年平均苗高仅0.9米。1981年春季又从3年生优树上挖根20条,发芽出土仅5根,占25%。待苗高40厘米时,由于苗弱而逐渐全部死亡。为了解决上述问题,我们采用了嫁接的方法取得了比较理想的效果。1982年春季,从
