跳短绳是一项以下肢活动为主,结合上肢协调配合的一项全身运动。能锻炼身体各系统机能,提高心肺系统、呼吸系统和神经系统功能;能有效的增强人体的耐力、协调、柔韧及速度素质,是一项锻炼价值很高的有氧运动。跳短绳教学贯穿中小学体育教育始终。笔者在教学实践中常遇到学生跳广场舞、街舞能力很强,很多学生喜欢课间活动、自由活动,但是让他们跳短绳、掷实心球、立定跳远等却提不起兴趣。分析其具体原因主要有:
