近年来,随着西部开发和旅游业发展,许多学人纷纷以亲身经历著书写文,揭开了云南边陲地区神秘的面纱,而我们读吴中伦的《云南植物考察日记》(中国林业出版社),犹如读《徐霞客游记》中最精彩最翔实的“滇游日记”, 仿佛时光倒流,又回到20世纪30 年代那个特殊的岁月。吴老是中国著名林学家、森林生态和森林地理学家、中国科学院生物学部委员。他出身贫苦,靠自学成才, 后来赴美留学,获耶鲁大学硕士学位和杜克大学博士学位。

Wu is a famous Chinese forest scientist, forest ecology and forest geographer, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Department of Biology. He was born poor, self-taught, and later went to the United States to study, received a master’s degree from Yale University and Duke University doctoral degree.
