瓜类花叶病毒病是影响广州市郊区瓜类生产的主要因素之一。黄瓜花叶病毒引起的瓜类花叶病有春植冬瓜花叶病和秋植节瓜、黄瓜花叶病。1985年新(?)区春植冬瓜共8400亩,其中发病的有650亩,一般发病株率15—25%,严重的50%以上,甚至失收。而秋植节瓜和黄瓜花叶病则广泛发生,为害严重。我们于1986年春开始,引进黄瓜花叶病毒生防制剂——卫星病毒(S_(-52))防治春植冬瓜化叶病,初步取得成效;7月间又用它防治秋植节瓜和黄瓜花叶病,也取得较好的防效。在北方,S_(-52)也用于防治番茄和辣椒花叶病取得良好的效果,但未用于防治瓜类花叶病,因此,我们便采用多种方法进行对比试验,从中找到一种比较好的方法。
