新课程倡导的新型教学过程是师生间、学生间信息传递的互动过程,也是老师与学生之间、学生与学生之间情感交流的人际交往过程,而学生正是在相互合作中发现自身的优势才能更好的学习英语。在合作学习的过程中,每个学生都有自己特有的学习方法,都有明确的学习目标,都能最大程度上的参与到合作交流中,都有与老师交流的机会,以共同学习活动和人际交往为载体。它不但使学生的自主性得到充分发挥,而且还使学生在合作学习中学会互相帮助、互相激励,学会交流、学会创造,这恰恰好与《新课程标准》的初衷不谋而合。
