真空—堆载联合预压法(真空预压)在高速公路施工中是一种新技术,主要用于软土路堤的地基处理。在软土层较厚时,采用真空预压可以增加施工期间的沉降量,同时减少路堤的工后沉降,使公路运营后能保证路基的稳定性。真空产生的侧向收缩变形与堆载过程中产生的侧向挤出变形相抵消,因此,地基不会因为填土速率快而出现失稳破坏。同时,利用路基填土作为堆载,使土体在真空荷载和堆载联合作用下发生固结。固结完成后,地基土的强度可提高2~3倍。
