随着人膜型基质金属蛋白酶(MT-MMPs)基因的克隆,陆续发现多种MT-MMP基因。它们与其它金属蛋白酶不同的是其独特的三个氨基酸插入序列。MT-MMP可被弗林蛋白酶(furin)激活,主要作用是激活MMP2酶原,并且有直接降解ECM的作用。MT-MMP参与许多涉及ECM合成和降解的生理和病理过程,尤其在肿瘤细胞浸润机制中发挥重要作用
With the cloning of human membrane-type matrix metalloproteinases (MT-MMPs), many MT-MMP genes have been discovered. They differ from other metalloproteases by their unique three amino acid insertions. MT-MMP can be activated by furin. Its main function is to activate MMP2 zymogen and to directly degrade ECM. MT-MMP is involved in many physiological and pathological processes involved in the synthesis and degradation of ECM, and in particular plays an important role in the mechanism of tumor cell infiltration
