当代中国画家经常对各种不同的绘画材质进行实验性探索,这种出于对画风快速成熟的诉求是可以理解的。因为对于年轻人来说,耗尽青春才能收获的传统绘画技法,代价似乎过大,也并非人生成功的最佳捷径;而变通一二,以材质的标新立异取胜,似乎顺理成章。我们不该否定实验和探索,但是应弄明白其中的原因:进行绘画材质的探索,究竟是为中国画增高阔,还是仅为凸显自己画风的与众不同。
Contemporary Chinese artists often experimentally explore a variety of different painting materials, which is understandable because of the rapid maturation of the style of painting. For young people, the traditional painting technique that has been depleted of youth can seem overly costly and not the best shortcut for success in life. It seems logical that we will work in a way that is irreplaceable in material innovation. We should not negate the experiments and explorations, but one reason why we should understand this is whether the exploration of the material for painting is to increase the width of Chinese painting or to highlight the distinctive style of one’s own painting.
