所谓“形神兼备”,不能理解为“形”与“神”的机械相加,而是要“以形写神”,把“形”与“神”都描绘得既准而活。(即富有真实生动的艺术魅力)这在人物画的创作实践中是一大难题,要解决得好是不容易的。但是,这样的画家也并不是很少,在于要人们去发现。我认为在部队工作多年的华克雄,就是这样一位在既准而活地描绘人物形象的探求中,取得了显著成效的画家。 The so-called “form and spirit” can not be understood as a mechanical summation of “form” and “god”.
