当代世界建筑潮流似乎可分二方面来谈。一是理论方面,二是技术方面。在建筑理论方面,现代主义的理论和实践仍是主要倾向。但年青一代的建筑思想一贯活跃,他们不断在探索适应新时代需要的新东西。从六十年代中期出现的后期现代派,具有很大的吸引力,深刻地影响着世界建筑潮流。后期现代派的主要论点,是认为今日建筑既十分复杂,又十分矛盾。认为现代派所追求的简明、单一、纯粹的建筑手法,难以满足现代生活多样化的要求。主张兼容并蓄,无论古今中外,凡能满足现实需要的一切都要。不怕混杂,不怕不纯。即所谓黑猫也要,白猫也要的灰猫派。方法是到历史中去找灵感;(故又称历史主义派);把今日民间下等酒肆和蹩脚戏院(即不是建筑师设计的建筑)当作样板;从西红柿罐头广告画作题材
The contemporary world architectural trend seems to be divided into two aspects. The first is theoretical, and the second is technical. In terms of architectural theory, modernist theories and practices are still the main trends. However, the younger generation’s architectural ideas have always been active. They are constantly exploring new things that meet the needs of the new era. The late modern era that emerged from the middle of the 1960s has great appeal and profoundly influences the world architectural trend. The main argument of the post-modernist school is that today’s architecture is both complex and contradictory. It is difficult to satisfy the diversified demands of modern life that the concise, single, and pure construction methods pursued by the modernist schools are difficult to satisfy.
