东西方不同民族都从远古以来就赋予人体生理器官以不同的功能 ,它们积淀在语言和文学中 ,构成各自的一笔丰富文化遗产。若用现代人体生理学的观点 ,会发现古人的这类生理定位有的正确 ,有的毫无依据 ;若再用文化人类学的观点去解释 ,才发现这类生理定位实际上已构成每个民族的约定俗成、在其社会群体中世代传播的原型。生命科学将不断向前发展 ,但是科学的发展是将科学与艺术两两区分开 ,而不是以科学取代艺术 Different peoples of the East and the West have given different functions to human body organs since ancient times.
