By the University of Petroleum (East), Shengli Oilfield completed the sand, water crude oil elbow flow measurement device, on May 8, 1990 in Shengli Oilfield adopted by the China Petroleum and Natural Gas Corporation organized technical appraisal. The device is composed of elbow, pressure transmitter, water analyzer and computer components. It addresses the measurement of sandy and hydrous crude. Experts believe that the device has no rotating parts and inserts, successfully solved the problem of abrasion and sand plugging in the measurement of sand-containing crude oil.
