With the increasing social competition and the accelerating pace of life and work, people are under increasing pressure and challenges (stress). A long time, high-intensity stress will break the original neuroendocrine immune network of the original steady-state, leading to a variety of diseases. In recent years, depression has drawn great attention due to its high incidence, high disablement, and high burden on the family and society. Research on its pathogenesis and prevention and treatment measures is in the ascendant. In addition, the development of neuroendocrine immune disorders, obesity, diabetes, hyperlipidemia, hypertension and other metabolic-related issues have become more significant. In recent years, more and more studies suggest that the onset of depression and metabolic syndrome may have common neuroendocrine immune basis, and the two diseases are also likely to be mutually causal to some extent. Combining with the research status both at home and abroad, this article summarizes the related research results and summarizes the neuroendocrine and immune connections of the two diseases.
