在过去一个长时间内,客观报道在新闻界一直有着争议。客观报道是不是资产阶级客观主义,无产阶级报刊能否确认自己的客观报道原则,在新闻改革实践中客观报道的地位与作用,都值得进一步深入探讨。从煽情主义到客观报道一般认为,客观报道原则是资产阶级“发明”的,因而必然打上资产阶级烙印。不错,这是历史事实。但我们在看到资产阶级从维护自己本阶级利益而不得不改变新闻报道原则的同时,是否还可以进一步探讨一下,这难道仅仅是骗人的“资产阶级幌子”?这当中

Objective reports are not bourgeois objectivism, whether proletarian newspapers can confirm their own objective reporting principles, and objectively report the status and role of news reform in practice are worthy of further discussion. From sensationalism to objective reporting, it is generally believed that the principle of objective reporting is “invented” by the bourgeoisie and must therefore be marked by the bourgeois imprint.
